Question
How often does the meter have to be calibrated?
Answer
Each meter is supplied with a Calibration Check Pad. The Check Pad has a “High range”, and “Low Range” Pad, with a value attached when it leaves the factory. At the start of each day, before measuring product, the operator should check that the meter measurements agree with the Check Pad values. This provides the operator with the assurance that Meter calibration is correct, and has not changed since last calibration. Where the values have changed then this indicates that the meter requires to be re-calibrated to specifications. Distell recommends that the meter should be re-calibrated every TWELVE Months.
