Question
The fat meter we’ve been using has broken down and likely needs servicing. My student says that the coating on the reader seems very worn. Should we ship back the unit for service?
Answer
It sounds as if the PTFE covering on Sensor is torn / worn through, exposing the copper microstrip. This will affect the accuracy of Meter readings. You will have to return the Fatmeter to Distell, in Scotland for Repairs. Please return the complete kit, then we can check everything is working to specifications.
Please use an overnight carrier service such as... DHL International, FedEx, TNT International or UPS for shipping. We should then receive the equipment in 1-2 working days. Distell will require a further 2-3 working days to carry out repairs and calibration.
Please return to Distell at the following address... Service Dept, Distell.com, Old Levenseat, Fauldhouse, West Lothian EH47 AD, Scotland - UK. Please ensure that you follow the instructions below.
